Conscious Movement Programs
What does conscious movement practice involve?
Conscious Movements are based on multiple disciplines, practiced with a meditative attitude. It is a meditation in movement where the most important aspect is developing awareness of the body (sensations, breathing, emotions) and relating to ourselves more kindly. This reduces mental agitation and anxiety. Deep listening to our body provides the wisdom to give ourselves what we need in each moment.
What Is body awareness?
Tensions and body blockages keep us prisoners of certain mental states. Body awareness helps us recognize these rigidities and thus connect with our emotions. In general, we are quite disconnected from our bodies. This detachment leads us to be disconnected from our senses, and we spend most of our time with high mental activity.
What is the impact of not being connected to our body?
If we are stressed, we might constantly be “in our heads,” thinking, analyzing, planning, creating, doing. To distance ourselves from the body is to distance ourselves from sensations and senses. And by doing so, we disconnect from our emotions and ourselves, which directly affects how we lead both our personal and professional lives.
